In the spirit of the spookiest month of the year, I was given a special assignment using a zombie bellhop character from the hit film Hotel Transylvania. The challenge, intended to be wrapped up when Halloween came around, was to have the zombie carry a suitcase into an elevator, pick up on the beat of the elevator music (that being Micheal Jackson’s Thriller), and have the elevator door open to him dancing his non-living heart out. This was a fun assignment that taught me a lot about animating weight and how to replicate complex movements such as a dance number from the Thriller music video.

Unfortunately, however, the assignment was cut short before the end of October in favor of pursuing an optional assignment based on the recent hit season 2 of Arcane, but I felt there was no shame in posting what I had made up to that point, as well as a few edits I added after its cancellation.
