Out of all of the games I have made and published here, this is the one I am the most proud of due to the leadership and teamwork skills I gained and demonstrated throughout the process. BattleQuest started as a pitch I conceptualized for a Game Design course that received enough support to be greenlit for prototyping – and it was one of four out of fifteen different ideas to do so. Through this project, I learned how to lead a team and how to plan out sprints and deadlines, and how to accommodate when those deadlines are not met. I learned that giving the design team a bit of leeway and room for suggestion is definitely a good thing, as simply giving them the general idea of what I wanted allowed for them to build on it and improve upon it, creating a wonderful board game in the process.
